Jason Pierre-Paul May Potentially Face Criminal Charges After Fireworks Accident

The Jason Pierre-Paul saga stemming from a fireworks incident on Saturday continues to take strange turns. On Tuesday, a report surfaced that the New York Giants defensive lineman was being investigated by the Coral Springs Police Department.      
Jordan Raanan of NJ Advance Media provided details:
The Coral Springs (Fla.) Police Department has launched an investigation into the fireworks accident that injured Jason Pierre-Paul, and depending on the facts they gather, the Giants defensive end could face charges that include criminal possession of fireworks, Coral Springs Public Information Officer Capt. Brad McKeon told NJ Advance Media on Tuesday.
However, J.P. Pelzman of the Record reported that the Coral Springs Police Department is no longer investigating Pierre-Paul for criminal charges "unless new information surfaces."
Pelzman did note that Pierre-Paul may not be in the clear yet:
