Julius Thomas Injury: Updates on Jaguars Star’s Finger and Return

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas suffered a broken finger in the team's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday.

Thomas Out for Preseason With Broken Finger Friday, Aug. 14 Mark Long of the Associated Press reported Thomas is expected to be out the remainder of the preseason with the injury. Ross Jones of Fox Sports noted the tight end broke his middle finger.
Entering his fifth season in the NFL out of Portland State, Thomas is preparing for his first year with the Jaguars after spending his first four with the Denver Broncos. 
After his first two seasons that saw him play nine games, Thomas burst onto the scene in 2013 with the arrival of Peyton Manning with 65 receptions for 788 yards. 
The following season, his targets decreased and so did his numbers. He recorded 43 receptions for 489 yards in 13 games in 2014.
