Victor Cruz Injury: Updates on Giants Star’s Calf and Return

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz suffered a calf strain that will sideline him for at least one practice.

Cruz to Miss Wednesday's Practice Wednesday, Aug. 19 Giants head coach Tom Coughlin confirmed Cruz's status prior to the day's session, adding that Rueben Randle would also miss practice, per the team's Twitter feed.
Cruz came into the new season with question marks after his 2014 campaign was cut short due to a torn patellar tendon in his right knee. He played in just six games before the injury, and it wasn't clear how long it would take for him to get back to full strength.
The veteran showcased good durability over the previous three seasons, though. He appeared in 46 of a potential 48 regular-season games while emerging as quarterback Eli Manning's favorite target over that stretch.
