Joseph Randle Injury: Updates on Cowboys RB’s Oblique and Return

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle is dealing with a nagging oblique injury. His status is up in the air after aggravating the ailment during Thursday's practice.

Randle Doubtful for Preseason Game vs. San Francisco 49ers Friday, Aug. 21 Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram reports Randle is unlikely to play Sunday after suffering the setback in practice. The third-year back, who spent the past two years playing behind DeMarco Murray, stated he just hasn't been able to shake the problem and wants to get back to full strength.
"It's the same thing I had earlier," Randle said. "It flared up on me again. We will get it right. I always want to be out there with my teammates. I can only do what I can do. It's just something we have to keep fighting through."
The report also notes Darren McFadden is questionable as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Both backs missed the team's preseason opener.
