Devonta Freeman Injury: Updates on Falcons RB’s Hamstring and Return

Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman has been nursing a hamstring injury and won't appear in the team's second preseason game Friday evening against the New York Jets, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter.

Falcons Hoping Freeman is Available For 3rd Preseason Game Friday, August 21 According to Ledbetter, Freeman returned to practice on Monday after suffering the hamstring tweak on Aug. 5. And while the setback forced the second-year runner to miss nearly two weeks of training camp, he appears to be on the mend. 
Now the team is taking a cautious approach to Freeman's recovery with the regular season on the horizon.
