Donald Trump Defends Tom Brady in Deflategate Scandal

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has found a new supporter in the Deflategate scandal: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. 
Speaking to Fox's business channel on Thursday, Trump said the NFL has gone out of its way to make Brady a fall guy (via SI.com):
I think it's ridiculous the way they've treated [Brady]. He's a friend of mine—he's a great friend of mine. He's a great guy, and I think it's ridiculous the way they've treated him. To spend $10 million in legal fees, and now it's probably higher than that, it's crazy. He's a great star. They ought to go back to playing football. This country has bigger problems.
Trump is the latest to offer support for Brady as the star signal-caller goes through an appeal to have his four-game suspension reduced or thrown out.
