Tom Savage Injury: Updates on Texans QB’s Shoulder and Return

Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage suffered a shoulder injury during Thursday's preseason finale against the Dallas Cowboys, leaving a hole in the team's depth at the position heading into the regular season.

Savage to Miss At Least Four Weeks Friday, Sept. 4 According to Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston, Savage suffered a sprained right shoulder that will keep him out 4-6 weeks. 
Savage was injured during the fourth quarter of Thursday's game, taking a hard hit from Dallas defensive tackle Davon Coleman. 
After the game, Savage told John McClain of the Houston Chronicle he was going to listen to the coaching staff about a recovery plan: "Just a hard hit. I guess we'll find out (the severity) when we get back (to Houston). Obviously, any kind of injury, you're always a little worried, but I'm going to go back and do whatever coach (Bill O'Brien) wants me to do."
