Todd Gurley Injury Update: Rams RB Ruled out Week 1 vs. Seahawks

St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley will have to wait a bit longer to make his NFL debut. Rams head coach Jeff Fisher told the local media that Gurley will not play in Week 1, via StLouisRams.com: 
“Gurley’s not going to play this week. He had two treatment sessions today, and he’s doing well. We’ll see how he is during the week."
Fisher continues to take a patient approach by sitting Gurley, who is recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in November 2014. The 21-year-old was just recently cleared to partake in all aspects of practice, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. He has a lot of work to do in order to acclimate to the NFL game. 
It would be a harsh introduction to have Gurley see his first NFL action against one of the most ferocious defenses in the NFL in the Seattle Seahawks. The Washington Redskins, the Rams' Week 2 opponents, might be a better first test for the rookie.
