Dion Lewis Injury: Updates on Patriots RB’s Abdomen and Return

New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis is dealing with an abdomen injury that will keep him out of the team's Week 7 matchup against the New York Jets.

Lewis Out for Week 7 Sunday, Oct. 25
The Patriots listed Lewis as inactive for Sunday's game. Earlier in the day, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Lewis was dealing with an abdomen injury.
Patriots Will Miss Lewis in Run, Pass Attacks Lewis suffered a fractured fibula and ligament damage in his left leg during the 2013 preseason, preventing him from playing a down during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. 
However, the Patriots came calling last December and signed Lewis to a reserve/future deal. And thanks to the team's lack of a defined backfield pecking order, Lewis was able to impress New England's coaches and work his way onto the roster.
