Jason Pierre-Paul Contract: Latest News and Rumors on Negotiations with Giants

The New York Giants and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul are reportedly working toward a contract agreement to get him back on the field after he missed the early portion of the 2015 season following a fireworks accident in July.

Sides Currently Focused on 1-Year Deal Tuesday, Oct. 27 Dan Graziano of ESPN.com reported that the Giants are discussing a short-term deal with the defender's representatives that would be heavy on incentives after placing the franchise tag on him in March. There's optimism something will get done, but nothing is official yet.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Giants will sign Pierre-Paul today if the two sides can work out a deal and will get a roster exemption so he can practice.
