Preparing for a Sunday of football gambling is multi-tiered. First, you must realize there are three main ways to bet individual games. There are moneylines, or straight-up gambling on whether a team will win. There are also point spreads, in which you attempt to handicap how many points a team will win or lose by. Last is the over-under bet, where you guess how many points will be scored in a game.
Even then, it's not as easy as it sounds. Paying attention to what games opened at and where they currently stand can tell you a lot about who is betting on games between sharps and squares and where the majority of the money is.
We'll set you straight heading into Sunday morning football by running down how lines have changed, who the main injuries of the week are and what the weather looks like in every game in Week 9. From there, we'll also suggest a side in every spread this weekend, plus offer some quality over-under picks.
