Freeman to Possibly Get Another NFL Chance in Indy Monday, Dec. 28 Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report reported the news. Freeman, 27, last played for the Miami Dolphins before being released in September. The 2009 first-round pick hasn't thrown an NFL pass since a stint with the Minnesota Vikings in 2013.
His one-game dalliance in Minnesota came after an ugly divorce in Tampa Bay, where he spent his first four-plus NFL seasons. A breakout star after throwing for 25 touchdowns against six interceptions in 2010, the Buccaneers released Freeman after becoming disenchanted with his inconsistency.
