Leslie Frazier Not Retained as Buccaneers DC: Latest Comments and Reaction

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reportedly informed defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier on Thursday that his option for the 2016 season would not be picked up.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times confirmed the team's decision.
The Bucs are beginning to overhaul their coaching staff after announcing the dismissal of head coach Lovie Smith on Wednesday night. Stroud noted that defensive backs coach Gil Byrd, safeties coach Mikal Smith and defensive assistant Larry Marme also won't be retained.
Tampa Bay's defense finished 10th in the league in yards allowed but 26th in points allowed during the 2015 season. The numbers represented only minor progress after finishing 2014, Frazier's first season as the coordinator, 25th in both points and yards allowed.
That said, the team lacks impact players on that side of the ball outside of Lavonte David and Gerald McCoy. The secondary in particular needs upgrades after the team allowed opponents to convert 46 percent...
