Jason Verrett Replaces Darrelle Revis at 2016 NFL Pro Bowl

San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett was named a Pro Bowl first alternate in December and will fulfill that designation by replacing Darrelle Revis, the Chargers announced Thursday.
Verrett led San Diego with three interceptions and 11 pass deflections in 2015.
Verrett, the Chargers’ first-round draft pick in 2014, was humbled after learning he will participate in his first Pro Bowl, per Ricky Henne of Chargers.com.
"This is a huge honor," he said. "This is something I’ve been watching since I was a kid. … It hasn’t sunk in too much that I am Pro Bowler just yet, but that is why I play this game: to be one of the best. Right now it’s happening that way, and I want to keep things going that route. I’m definitely soaking it all in."
One could make a valid argument that Verrett should’ve been included on the initial roster—Pro Football Focus ranked him as the third-best cornerback in the league...
