Breaking News: Bryant McFadden Signs Three-Year Extension With Steelers

When the Steelers lost Bryant McFadden to unrestricted free agency after winning Super Bowl XLIII, they thought they could live without him. That is why they did not try to beat the offer on the table from the Arizona Cardinals.
Since realizing that the grass is not always greener, and being traded back to the Steelers for a fifth-round pick, the Steelers and McFadden found a middle ground where the player can earn more money and not break the bank with the team.
McFadden has re-signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers with a three-year contract extension for a reported $7.5 million.
Yes, he was supposed to make $4.5 million this season under his old contract, which the Steelers would have had to honor when they traded for him. However, McFadden knows that a Steelers contract is not like most other teams and he will have a legitimate shot at actually earning all of what the contract has in it.
