Niners Reportedly Targeting Mike Vrabel Tuesday, Jan. 19  According to Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, the Niners are scheduled to interview former New England Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel for the vacant defensive coordinator spot Tuesday.
The 40-year-old, three-time Super Bowl champion has been the Houston Texans linebackers coach since 2014, and he previously served on Ohio State's coaching staff from 2011-2013.
While Vrabel has never served in a defensive coordinator capacity at any level, the 2007 first-team All-Pro has become a hot commodity after helping Houston's defense to a No. 3 ranking in terms of yards allowed in 2015.
Vrabel worked with a number of big-time talents at the linebacker position with the Texans, including Brian Cushing, Whitney Mercilus and 2014 No. 1 overall pick ...
