Mike McCarthy Comments on Eddie Lacy’s Weight, 2015 Performance

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy discussed Eddie Lacy's weight issues Monday after the third-year running back had a disappointing 2015 season.
"Eddie has a lot of work to do," McCarthy said, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I'm stating the obvious. His offseason was not what it should be, and he never recovered from it. He cannot play at the weight he did this year."
Packers offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett added that the team will work with Lacy to sort out the problem.
"He plays an important part," Bennett said, per Silverstein. "How do we get him back? We educate. We demand, we support. I think that's a big part of it."
After he eclipsed 1,100 yards in each of 2013 and 2014 and scored 20 combined rushing touchdowns, Lacy ran for just 758 yards and three scores on 187 carries this year. He also lost his starting job to James Starks midway through the season.
