Bradford Reportedly Sought Lucrative Contract Extension Wednesday, Jan. 20 Bradford reportedly asked the Eagles for $25 million a year when negotiating a contract extension, ESPN's Jim Trotter said on NFL Insiders on Tuesday (via Ryan Phillips of the Big Lead).
Bradford, 28, threw for 3,725 yards, 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions this season.
While Bradford improved as the season went on, he's never posted the sort of elite numbers that would justify a $25 million-per-year payday. Further, Chip Kelly's spread system generally has made quarterbacks look pretty good, including Nick Foles, who threw for 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions in 2013 but was benched in St. Louis this season in favor of NFL journeyman Case Keenum.
So it's hard to imagine Bradford getting any...
