Cowboys Reportedly Interested in Adding Golden to Staff Tuesday, Jan. 26 Former Miami head coach Al Golden is reportedly in line to take a job with the Dallas Cowboys as an assistant coach, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Mike Garafolo of FoxSports.com noted the position would be on the defensive side of the ball.
Golden went 32-25 in his 4.5 seasons with the Hurricanes. Miami went just 17-18 in the ACC during his tenure with the school, and Golden was fired in October 2015 after losing to Clemson, 58-0, the biggest loss in school history. His resume was further hurt by an 0-5 record against Florida State and an 0-2 record in bowl games.
