Cardinals Record Most Turnovers in Any Playoff Game Since 2001

The Arizona Cardinals couldn't get out of their own way during Sunday's 49-15 loss to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship Game, recording the most turnovers (seven) by any team in a playoff game since the Green Bay Packers had eight in a 2001 NFC divisional playoff loss to the St. Louis Rams, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Quarterback Carson Palmer played at an MVP level during the regular season, but he was the primary culprit in Sunday's miscue-filled effort, throwing four interceptions and losing a pair of fumbles.
The other turnover came on special teams, with star cornerback Patrick Peterson muffing a punt in the second quarter to set the Panthers up for a touchdown that extended the lead to 24-7.
Although Palmer was undoubtedly the day's real goat, Peterson's muff came at the worst time possible, as Arizona had finally picked up some momentum with a 79-yard touchdown drive that was followed by a three-and-out by its defense.
