Jason Pierre-Paul Uses X-Ray of Injured Hand as Avatar on Twitter and Instagram

It took a while for the public to get a look at the hand New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul injured in a fireworks accident July 4, but at this point, he is comfortable being open about it.
Pierre-Paul lost both his index finger and the tip of his right thumb in the incident last year. As a result, the two-time Pro Bowler did not sign a contract with the Giants until the end of October and did not play in a game until Week 9. When he finally did take the field, he had to wear a cast on his hand.
A couple of weeks ago, the 27-year-old shared a throwback photo from after the accident to reflect on everything he has gone through:
