Colt McCoy to Re-Sign with Redskins: Latest Contract Details and Reaction

The Washington Redskins secured some insurance for franchise quarterback Kirk Cousins on Wednesday by reportedly re-signing Colt McCoy to serve as his backup.  
ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the deal, and ESPN.com's John Keim added it is a three-year contract that can be voided to two years.
The Redskins have made several moves on the quarterback front this offseason, as they franchise-tagged Cousins and released Robert Griffin III.
McCoy served as Cousins' backup for almost the entire 2015 campaign, and with RGIII out of the picture, it cleared the path and ensured that he could remain in that role without any fear of getting overtaken.
