Weeden Meeting with Miami Friday, March 11 Weeden will visit with the Miami Dolphins on Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The former first-round pick started games for the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans in 2015. Weeden was the backup for Tony Romo, who broke his collarbone in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Weeden went 0-3 before being benched in favor of Matt Cassel.
Weeden was picked up by the Texans after being released by the Cowboys, appearing in two games, and he won his lone start on Dec. 27 against the Tennessee Titans.
Weeden made only three starts in Dallas before head coach Jason Garrett benched him Oct. 14 and went with the veteran Cassel. Completion percentage wasn't the issue for Weeden—he completed 70.3 percent of his throws in those three starts.
