Nolan Carroll Re-Signs with Eagles: Latest Contract Details and Reaction

Cornerback Nolan Carroll has re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday after two productive seasons with the team.
Derrick Gunn of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia was the first to report that Carroll will ink a one-year deal, and Tim McManus of 97.5 The Fanatic later reported the news, via a source. The Eagles went on to confirm the deal.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Carroll signed a one-year deal worth a base value of $2.36 million. Rapoport added that the deal could be as worth as much as $3 million.
The 29-year-old defensive back spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins before joining Philly prior to the 2014 campaign.
He made 31 tackles in his first season with the Eagles, primarily as a nickel corner, but his role expanded in 2015, as he started 11 games and registered 55 tackles, 10 passes defended and two interceptions.
