Robert Blanton to Bills: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

The Buffalo Bills signed free-agent safety Robert Blanton on Friday, according to his agent Jason Bernstein. According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, the deal is for one year.
Blanton spent the first four years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, where he recorded 199 total tackles and one interception.
After starting 13 games in 2014, Blanton looked poised to see more starting time in Minnesota in 2015, but he was placed behind Andrew Sendejo before the start of the regular season.
He started just one game last season and recorded 27 total tackles with three passes defended.
Buffalo was in search of some depth at the safety position, as Bacarri Rambo is still out on the free-agent market. The Bills didn't necessarily have a bad pass defense last season—they were ranked 14th in the league—but with the possibility of losing Rambo looking like it would become a reality, Blanton provides some insurance.
