Powers Begins Visits After Hoping to Stay in Arizona Wednesday, March 30 Josina Anderson of ESPN reported Wednesday the 28-year-old defensive back is set to meet with the Giants on Thursday as he seeks a landing spot for the 2016 campaign.
Powers, a third-round selection of the Indianapolis Colts in 2009, spent the past three seasons with the Cardinals. He racked up 50 tackles, nine passes defended and an interception across 13 games in 2015. He missed some time due to a hamstring injury.
He's served mostly as a No. 2 or No. 3 corner during his time with the Colts and the Cardinals. While he's never been a ball hawk (11 interceptions in seven years), he's usually been a solid cover corner.
