Redskins Could Make Pick Available to Teams Seeking QB Wednesday, April 20 Britt McHenry of ESPN reported Wednesday the Redskins are "open to trading back," thinking they would be able to find value in the second and third rounds. The source also told McHenry it could be prime territory for a team looking to trade up for quarterback Paxton Lynch.
This year's draft class is certainly characterized more by depth than top-end talent. That's why it wasn't a surprise to see the Tennessee Titans trade the No. 1 overall pick as part of a deal with the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a plethora of other selections.
If there isn't a player a front office truly loves, it makes a lot of sense to trade back so a team can get two or three players it likes instead.
