Kellen Moore Injury: Updates on Cowboys QB’s Ankle and Return

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Kellen Moore suffered a broken ankle on Tuesday during practice and will require surgery to repair the damage. It is uncertain when he will be able to return.

Moore Set to Undergo Surgery Wednesday, Aug. 3 Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Moore will go under the knife in Dallas Wednesday, and the recovery time is three to four months.
Moore Carried Off Field After Practice Injury Tuesday, Aug. 2 Per David Helman of the Cowboys' official website, Moore was not putting any weight on his right leg while being helped off the field. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Moore suffered either a broken leg or ankle and did not address a potential move for the team, per David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.
Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News noted left guard Jared Smith stepped on the quarterback's ankle, which caused the injury.
