Jordan Reed Injury: Updates on Redskins TE’s Thumb and Return

Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed was banged up throughout the 2015 season, and he's found his way onto the injury report again with a sprained thumb, per Brian McNally of 106.7 The Fan. It's unclear when he will return.

Reed Misses Friday Practice  Friday, Aug. 5 George Wallace of WTOP.com reported Reed could have practiced on Friday, but the team held him out. CSN Mid-Atlantic's JP Finlay reported that Reed is expected back at practice on Sunday.
Reed suffered a concussion, ankle sprain and MCL sprain last season, but he didn't let any of those serious injuries stand in the way of a breakout campaign.  
"Overall, you can see what type of production he has," head coach Jay Gruden said, per the Washington Post's Mike Jones. "He’s a huge weapon for us on third down, first down, red zone. We put him outside in the slot. He has done an excellent job for us."
