Hroniss Grasu Injury: Updates on Bears Center’s Knee and Recovery

Chicago Bears second-year center Hroniss Grasu suffered a torn ACL during a Saturday practice when he went down untouched trying to block on a screen pass, according to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. The injury has ended his season.

Grasu to Miss Entire 2016 Campaign Monday, Aug. 8 Bears head coach John Fox told reporters Grasu has torn his ACL in his right knee and will be out for the season.
Grasu Once Again Sidelined with Injury Grasu has dealt with injuries since the Bears drafted him in the third round last year. He missed eight games in 2015 because of a nagging neck injury.
On Aug. 1, he spoke with Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune about his plan heading into the 2016 season: "I had a lot of things to work on, get better at and grow from. But I feel like I'm playing faster because of my knowledge of the offense. I feel really good in my responsibilities."
