Acquiring an asset-to-be before the market even realizes his value. Which brings us to the key goal of this piece: predicting the top waiver additions for Week 1 before the regular season kicks off.
The Cincinnati Bengals' Tyler Eifert was owned in fewer than 16 percent of NFL.com fantasy leagues after Week 1 in 2015. Despite missing three games, Eifert finished 2015 just one receiving touchdown shy of the league lead and was third in fantasy points per game in ESPN standard leagues among tight ends. While the crowd chased shares of Eifert en masse after his dazzling two-touchdown debut last September, prescient investors already had him rostered and enjoyed profits at the position for much of the season.
