Jahri Evans Reportedly Signs 1-Year Contract with New Orleans Saints

Veteran offensive lineman Jahri Evans was in search of a team with the NFL season set to begin this week, and he ended up reuniting with the New Orleans Saints.
Adam Caplan of ESPN reported Evans and the Saints agreed on a one-year contract, citing a source.  Ian Rapoport of NFL Network previously reported the Saints were "expected to sign" Evans to fill an empty roster spot.
Evans visited with the team on Tuesday, and afterward, head coach Sean Payton told reporters there was a "realistic possibility" the team would sign Evans.
The Saints released the 33-year-old Evans in February in an effort to get under the salary cap. 
Per ESPN.com's Mike Triplett, they saved $3.1 million against the cap by cutting Evans, who was set to make $4.9 million in 2016.
