Chris Johnson Injury: Updates on Cardinals RB’s Groin and Return

Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson suffered a groin injury against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
His status for Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers is unclear.

Johnson to Receive Additional Testing on Monday Sunday, Oct. 2 Johnson will have an MRI on the groin injury Monday, according to Pro Football Talk.
He had six carries for 34 yards before exiting. 
Johnson re-signed with the Cards this past offseason to continue his one-two punch with David Johnson, but he has been inconsistent thus far with 95 rushing yards through four games. 
After a down year with the New York Jets in 2014 that saw the former 2,000-yard rusher gain just 663 yards on the ground, it was starting to look as though CJ2K had reached the end of the line.
Arizona gave him an opportunity with Andre Ellington hurt early in the 2015 season, though, and it paid big dividends for Bruce Arians' team.
