Eddie Lacy Injury: Updates on Packers Star’s Ankle and Return

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy exited Sunday's 23-16 victory over the New York Giants with an ankle injury, per Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com.

Latest on Lacy's Status Sunday, Oct. 9 Bergman noted the injury occurred in the third quarter, and the running back didn't return to the game. He received treatment on a training table after posting 81 yards on 11 carries. 
Lacy had a strong start to his NFL career, rushing for over 1,100 yards in 2013 and 2014. Then came his underwhelming 2015 campaign. Not only did he rush for just 758 yards and three touchdowns, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy was openly critical about his weight in January.
Lacy appeared to have slimmed down when he showed up for Green Bay's training camp. ESPN.com's Rob Demovsky shared a photo of the 26-year-old in May:
