Darius Butler Injury: Updates on Colts CB’s Recovery from Finger Surgery

On Monday, Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano announced cornerback Darius Butler suffered a fractured finger during Sunday’s 29-23 victory over the Chicago Bears, per Zac Jackson of Pro Football Talk.

Latest on Butler's Status Monday, Oct. 10 Pagano added the cornerback will have surgery Tuesday, per Jackson: “They’ve got to put a plate in there, so his availability for this week [vs. the Texans] is obviously in jeopardy.”
Jackson noted Sunday's game was just the second of the season for Butler, who suffered an injury in Week 2 as well. Pagano announced cornerback Patrick Robinson also suffered knee and groin injuries, per Jackson.
Butler, who has been with the Colts since 2012, has proved to be durable in recent years. After playing the full 16-game schedule in 2013, he missed just two games each in 2014 and 2015. He has 13 interceptions in his career and provides depth alongside Robinson and Vontae Davis.
