Joel Bitonio Injury: Updates on Browns OL’s Foot and Recovery

The Cleveland Browns placed starting left guard Joel Bitonio on injured reserve Friday due to a mid-foot injury.

Latest on Bitonio's Playing Status Friday, Oct. 14 According to the team's official website, the 2014 second-round pick out of Nevada suffered the injury during the Browns' Week 5 loss to the New England Patriots.
Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer, Bitonio said the injury was "crappy," but he plans to come back "stronger" next season. 
The 25-year-old started each of Cleveland's first five games this season and was a driving force behind the NFL's fifth-ranked rushing offense spearheaded by running back Isaiah Crowell.
Bitonio started all 16 games as a rookie in 2014, but he was limited to 10 contests last year due to an ankle injury.
With Bitonio on the shelf, a significant shake-up is likely in store for Cleveland's offensive line.
