Carlos Hyde Injury: Updates on 49ers RB’s Shoulder and Return

Injuries have marred the early portion of San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde's NFL career, and he's once again on the mend after suffering a shoulder injury.

Latest on Hyde's Practice Status Tuesday, Oct. 18 According to the San Francisco Chronicle's Eric Branch, Hyde's right arm was in a sling during practice Tuesday. 
Hyde has been given the opportunity to be a centerpiece of head coach Chip Kelly's offense and has produced 429 yards and six touchdowns on 109 carries in 2016. 
The 2014 second-round pick appeared destined for a breakout campaign in 2015, but a foot injury limited him to just seven games, and he ended the year with 470 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
