Josh Brown Placed on Commissioner’s Exempt List

New York Giants kicker Josh Brown has been placed on the commissioner's exempt list after he admitted to domestic abuse against his ex-wife, Molly Brown.  
ESPN's Chris Mortensen (via ESPN.com) first reported Brown was going to be placed on the commissioner's exempt list and will not play for the Giants again.
Albert Breer of The MMQB tweeted out the letter Brown received from the NFL informing him he was placed on the exempt list:
Adam Schefter of ESPN provided a statement from the NFLPA:
The NFL has the ability to place a player on the exempt list and the player has the right to appeal that decision, if he chooses. The League office wanted unilateral control of this process and accordingly, their system lacks transparency.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport noted Brown will be allowed at the Giants' team facilities if they permit it, and he has three days to appeal being placed on the exempt list.
