C.J. Anderson Injury Update: Broncos Place Running Back on Injured Reserve

The Denver Broncos officially placed running back C.J. Anderson on injured reserve Friday after he underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, according to NESN's Doug Kyed.
Citing a source, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed the news. 
The Broncos have yet to provide an official timetable for Anderson's recovery, but they could activate him off injured reserve if he's healed at some point during the playoffs. 
Rapoport provided additional details regarding Anderson's status: 
He added Anderson will be allowed to start jogging again in six weeks and that a meniscus repair was the best option for his long-term health. 
Anderson posted a message on Twitter regarding his timetable:  
Following a 2015 season full of inconsistencies, Anderson put together a strong first seven weeks in 2016 as the Broncos embarked on their Super Bowl title defense.
