Latest on Cowboys' Stance on Richardson Tuesday, Nov. 1 According to ESPN.com's Todd Archer, the Jets initiated trade talks with the Dallas Cowboys involving Richardson, but his big contract may be preventing Dallas from making a move.
Per Archer, Richardson is set to make over $8 million in 2017, and he also has some off-field issues that may be giving the Cowboys pause.
The 25-year-old was suspended four games in 2015 for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, and was suspended for the first game of 2016 for violating the league's personal-conduct policy in relation to a 2015 arrest following a police chase.
