CJ Spiller to Jets: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

 Veteran running back C.J. Spiller reached an agreement Tuesday with the New York Jets on a contract.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport first reported Spiller would sign with the Jets after the team released Knile Davis. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News confirmed Spiller would be going to New York. 
Spiller appeared in two games for the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the season while the team was working through some backfield injury woes. While the Clemson product didn't receive much playing time, he did score a touchdown—an eight-yard TD reception—on one of his eight touches.
The versatile 29-year-old playmaker never lived up to the hype after the Buffalo Bills used the ninth overall selection on him in the 2010 draft. He only rushed for more than 1,000 yards once and struggled to stay healthy when asked to handle a heavy workload due to his slender frame.
