Russell Wilson Comments on QB Hits, Week 10 Patriots Matchup and World Series

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson opened up on a number of different topics in an interview with NFL Media's Brooke Cersosimo on Wednesday, including the physical nature of his position:
Obviously, if we didn't want to get hit, we'd be playing a different sport. That's just the truth. If I didn't want to get hit, I'd be playing tennis. But I think that in terms of being smart on the field, you gotta get down and protect yourself. I haven't seen all the hits, so I don't know if some of them are illegal. I don't really know, because I haven't really seen [Cam Newton] play this year as much.
Wilson's comments came after Newton complained he wasn't drawing flags for the same hits that other quarterbacks do following the Carolina Panthers' 30-20 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Newton said some of the hits are "taking the fun out of the game," per Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer.
