Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey underwent surgery to repair the dislocated thumb he suffered Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, but the injury isn't expected to keep him off the field for long.

Latest on Pouncey's Timeline for Return Tuesday, Nov. 8 According to the team's official Twitter account, head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Pouncey "should have the opportunity to practice later this week."
Tomlin's sentiment echoes that of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who said Tuesday that he expects the center to suit up on Sunday when the Steelers play host to the Dallas Cowboys.
