Captain Munnerlyn Injury: Updates on Vikings CB’s Ankle and Return

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn will miss the team's Week 10 matchup with the Washington Redskins on Sunday because of an ankle injury.

Munnerlyn Ruled Out vs. Redskins Saturday, Nov. 12 The Vikings announced Saturday that Munnerlyn had been officially downgraded to out. The team's official injury report for the week noted he was a nonparticipant in practice Wednesday and Thursday before getting a limited session in Friday.
Judd Zulgad of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities noted the 28-year-old defensive back was originally injured during the Detroit Lions' first drive in last week's game. The veteran explained the injury as getting "bent up" by tight end Eric Ebron and eventually realizing he couldn't play through the pain.
