NFL1000: Ranking the Top 1000 Players from Week 11

As much as we factor in opponent strength when compiling player grades for the NFL1000, there are times when an individual performance transcends "good team/bad team" math and rises to the top. Such was Le'Veon Bell's game against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday. Yes, the Steelers were able to dominate the Browns on both sides of the ball, and yes, that's a common construct for any team playing the Browns this year.
But in Pittsburgh's 24-9 win, Bell stood apart and put together the best game of his 2016 season. He ran 28 times for 146 yards and a touchdown, gaining 63 yards after contact. His longest run was for 12 yards, which speaks to his consistency from carry to carry. Bell wore Cleveland's underwhelming defense to a nub with help from Pittsburgh's offensive line, and he brought his team back to the .500 mark and a tie with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North (though Baltimore holds the tiebreaker with its Week 9 win).
