Shane Vereen Injury: Updates on Giants RB’s Concussion and Return

Just a few plays into his return to the field, New York Giants running back Shane Vereen was once again forced to the sidelines with an injury Sunday, this time due to a concussion.

Vereen Suffers Concussion in Return Sunday, Dec. 11 The 27-year-old was diagnosed with a concussion in his team's Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys, per the Giants' official account. He had just one catch for 10 yards before coming out of the game.
Vereen had been on injured reserve since Week 3 after having surgery to repair torn triceps. The team announced it activated the running back on Saturday for his highly anticipated return.
Unfortunately, this continues an unlucky season for the veteran running back.
Before getting hurt, Vereen was headed to a major role within the Giants offense. He totaled 147 rushing yards and a touchdown as well as 75 receiving yards in the first three games of the season.
