Seattle Seahawks’ Training Camp Resembles the Island of Misfit Toys

Pete Carroll’s rotating roster is intended to foster competition in the training camp. He wants each and every player to earn his role. Three quarterbacks with something to prove. Hasselbeck that he’s not washed up. Whitehurst that he’s worth his contract. Losman that he’s NFL-caliber. Similar story lines are unfolding in every position as Carroll continues to whittle down the 101 players that came to training camp down to the league-mandated 80 man roster. Adding and subtracting talent on a near daily basis, Carroll has made 55 personnel changes in the last four months.
