The only good thing about getting romped by the Cowboys in Week Seventeen was the fact that the Eagles would get an immediate shot at redemption less than a week later. Six days after getting beat down by Dallas, the Eagles traveled back to Jerry’s house looking to advance in the playoffs.
In Donovan McNabb’s final game in an Eagles uniform, he would make a “rocking” entrance but end with a not so rocking performance. The first quarter started out slow for both teams as possessions would be traded and no scoring would take place. However, things would start to pick up in the second quarter.
With less than a minute off the clock in the second quarter, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo found tight end John Phillips for a one yard touchdown to take the first lead of the game.
