Can Jake Delhomme Lead The Cleveland Browns In The 2010 Season?

Jake Delhomme was a huge part of the Carolina Panthers when he arrived in 2003, after playing with the New Orleans Saints and the Arena Football League.

He led them to a Super Bowl, coming short off of a field goal.

He made it to a few Pro Bowls as well.

Then, the 2009-10 NFL season came.

Delhomme completed 178 of the 321 passes he threw. That brought him to a 55.5 completion percentage. He threw for 2,015 yards, which was his lowest as a starter. He then threw for eight touchdowns and 18 interceptions. Adding to that, he had a career-low 6.3 yards per completion. And another career-low: his quarterback rating was 59.4.

All-in-all, it was a bad season for Jake Delhomme.

In just 11 games of mediocre play with the Panthers, a team in which he was a savior of; a really bad season made him released.
