Big Ben and the Red Herring: Why Things Don’t Make Sense

Before starting off, I want to make something clear; this isn't about defending or detracting from what incident(s) (alleged or otherwise) happened regarding Ben Roethlisberger. I just want to take a step back to look at things and gauge what has happened, and why, without any moral bias.
Here's a quick summation of everything that has put him in hot water:
